During heavy rainfall in Yunnan, China, 56-year-old village leader Tian Ruliang stepped forward when his community was in danger. 🌧️🙏

As conditions around the village became increasingly unsafe, Tian went from house to house, helping residents evacuate and guiding them toward safer areas. His priority was making sure no one was left behind.

At around 4:48 a.m., while assisting with the evacuation, Tian was caught in a sudden mudslide. He managed to pull himself out by grabbing onto a tree and escaping the dangerous flow.

But instead of stopping to recover, Tian continued helping his neighbors despite being covered in mud.

His determination helped ensure that 60 villagers from 21 households were safely evacuated from the affected area.

The incident is a powerful reminder that leadership is not always about titles or positions. Sometimes, it means stepping forward when others are frightened, taking responsibility during a crisis, and putting the safety of your community first.

Tian’s actions have earned admiration as an example of courage, responsibility, and compassion during a dangerous natural disaster.

In moments when fear can take over, people like Tian show what it means to stand by others when they need help the most. ❤️🙏

A true leader leads by example. 🫡
